"Outlaws in Love"
"Lock Jaws"

Outlaws in Love is a queer Western art series symbolizing the search for love and freedom. Featuring over 60 digital works in a vintage style, it explores hidden, domesticated relationships between gay cowboys, inspired by classic Western films. The series critiques homophobic conservative legislation and was headlined by the Long Beach Arts Council at Long Beach Pride, as well as showcased in Starfuckker Magazine and at Jeremy Lucido’s “Hogtied” country night at Precinct Nightclub in downtown LA. Outlaws in Love continues to evolve with exciting collaborations, including queer country singer Paisley Fields.

Lock Jaws, the second chapter of DICKSCOVERIES, invites audiences to “Outlaws Beach Club,” inspired by Blacks Beach and Gay Head Beach. This series explores the interplay of fear and desire through the symbolism of the great white shark, in light of JAWS’ upcoming 50th anniversary. Christopher reflects on his early erotic experiences and journey as an openly gay man, encouraging viewers to confront their fears. Featured as an artist at San Diego Pride and GayWatch in Venice Beach, the collection showcases various mediums, including watercolors made with ocean water from Blacks Beach, while advocating for the preservation of nude beaches and the creation of more clothing-optional spaces.
